Eugene started his tattoo journey at PhatBuddahTattoos where he learned tattooing basics from Rob Tatau and Roger Wilson-Singer (Eugene’s high school friend and artistic rival). After tattooing solo and learning different tribal styles, Eugene reconnected with RobTatau as he started up Rob’s House of Tribal Tattoo shop in Markham, Ontario. Today you can also find Eugene tattooing at FreshINK Tattoo Studio in Burlington, ON or with Dennis Garcia at Patayin Tattoo Company on the west side of the GTA in Kitchener, Ontario.
Polynesian, Maori, Filipino Tribal
One of few tribal tattoo artist in Toronto with the proper understanding of how to interpret your tribal tattoo. “I put a lot of thought into all the tattoos I do. I’ve researched and read many books and immersed myself into the culture by travelling to Polynesia and learning from fellow artists to make a true connection with the art that I’m putting out. I don’t just read one book about it and pretend I know everything or blatantly copy the most popular guys. I try to do traditional and neo-traditional tribal tattoos in my own recognizable way”. Having tattooed all over the GTA from Markham, Toronto, Brampton, and Hamilton, Eugene also caters to customers in the USA and Philippines.
